Our neighbor Rob Rainieri ran the The recent Compassion in Action 2008 Food Drive Event held in Lansdowne on 10/4/2008.

There was an increased neighborhood participation this year.  The entire donation was given to the North Gwinnett Co-Op, who desperately needed the help.  They were very thankful for our contribution.

- Total homes in Subdivision=196
- Total Bags Collected = 39 (~20% give rate)
- Total Items Collected = 387 (~10 items per participating household)

This year, Rob partnered with the UNITE! Compassion In Action 2008 event.  This is an event run by Hands On Atlanta and is participated in by churches all across Gwinnett County.  Together, they collected tens of thousands of food items from multiple subdivisions for Co-Op organizations across Gwinnett County.  It was a hugely successful day! Lansdowne made a big impact and should be very proud.

This Saturday Nov. 15th 9:00 pm we will be at Shorty's Pizza in Tucker. This
is a cool restaurant/bar located at 3701 Lawrenceville Hwy Tucker Ga 30084

 

Saturday the 22nd at 6:30pm we will be playing at a restaurant in Tucker
called Rotagillas.  It is a New Orleans style restaurant that serves great
food.

 

Saturday after Thanksgiving Nov. 29th we will be a Maddy's Barbeque in
Decatur at the corner of Scott Blvd and North Decatur road.

All Lansdowne homeowners the opportunity to have Terminix provide their termite protection at the reduced cost of $699.00, with an annual of $199.00. The $699.00 charge is for the application of our liquid defense system using the chemical Termidor and also provides a full repair bond. Please note that the normal cost to treat a home in Lansdowne would be approximately $1,200.00 to $1,500.00 depending on the linear footage of the home. It is important to understand that Termidor is an approved chemical by both the EPA and the Georgia Department of Agriculture. Terminex repair bond is as follows:

1. Lifetime bond (never expires as long as the annual re newel is paid)
2. Covers the repair of all damaged structure (ie studs, sheetrock, insulation, joists, sheating etc.)
3. Covers the repair of all contents (ie carpeting, wallpaper, hardwood floors, furniture, cabinetry, moldings etc.)

Further, Terminex will provide all homeowners complete pest control for the cost of $75.00 per quarter…..The regular price is $120.00 for the initial treatment and $90.00 per quarter thereafter. Our pest control covers the following:

Roaches, solitary wasps, mice, rats, house crickets, house ants, centipedes, earwigs, millipedes, silverfish, flea and tick control, black widow spiders, brown recluse spiders and more.
