- The City of Suwanee offers a Suwanee Citizens Police Academy whose purpose is to strengthen the bond of friendship and cooperation between our citizens and our police department. This is a good program. For information on enrolling in the Suwanee Citizens Police Academy please contact Sgt. Elais Casanas Jr. at 770-945-4607 x 327 or elais@suwanee.com. You must register by September 14, 2007 for the next session.
- The short story is that Suwanee population has doubled in the past two years and with that comes additional crime. Burglaries have increased; please keep your garages closed, home and car doors locked. Help our neighborhood by reporting suspicious or unrecognizable people and vehicles to the police.
- As many of us use George Pierce Park, please be aware that although there are always two Suwanee / Gwinnett Police patrols at all times while the park is open, cars are still being broken into during all the activity. Lock your doors!
- We have asked that a speed patrol be set up on Landover Crossing to curb the speeding and to insure that our streets remain safe for our community.
